Moonbeam Cascade: Poem Gift

Sometimes light surprises in the midst of the dark…

chatoyant moon—round
pool of light, pour your
moonbeam cascade into
the dark sea of mourning.
I am water spilling over
each golden crevice—
my heart, a spoon,
scooping great folds and
waves.

I noticed this moon this morning…and thought of you. Is there any better compliment than that? I’m so glad you’ve shared with our little community Painting Prose. I hope you are there again next Thursday!

this is like a massage…i woke up in the middle of the night with a line rolling through my head as I looked out the window at the silver rays of light.

Laura, it seems you and I share a love of moonlight, as well as a fascination with light in darkness!

Thank you for sharing your lovely poem.

“pour your moonbeam cascade into the dark sea of mourning”

Beautiful imagery of God’s grace poured into the pain and sorrow of our lives.
