Not So Still Saturday


A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.

 It is good to praise the Lord
    and make music to your name, O Most High,  
 proclaiming your love in the morning
    and your faithfulness at night, 
 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
    and the melody of the harp.
  For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
    I sing for joy at what your hands have done.

    Mine isn’t so still either. Off to serve some cowboys bbq chicken sandwiches, coffee, cookies & lemonade. My fellas are helping doctor some calves before they are turned out to summer pasture. No foolin’. Rip-snorting good time.

    Ah, so it’s a band day, is it?

    I just found out that my daughter will be in the “pit” next year during football season, which will radically alter our schedule. She is excited about getting to play with the high schoolers (she’ll be in 8th).
