The view from my balcony is fascinating.
We’ve had another full day in the sun. And I mean full.
The boys were up at 6:30 a.m. clamoring for beach time.
I was able to squeeze in a sweet prayer walk along the ocean before their agenda took over. It was cloudy, but the rising sun played peek-a-boo with me, showing off her early morning wardrobe and admiring her glowing image in the ocean mirror below. I found myself breathing with the rhythm of each swell, falling into the song that the end of the earth hums steadily. The water lapped at my ankles as I tasted the salt in the wind, and sang love songs to my God. The steady beat of the surf took my words and carried them away, into His waiting ear—for I know He loves to hear my voice. At times, I skipped in joy, and ran deeper into the water (but not too deep), arms outstretched, simply amazed at Him.
Yes, my friends, it is a good thing my little strip of sand was vacant. But for the fishermen, that is…and you know how our Lord loves them. I’m sure they understood.
Today is the day that the Lord has made!
Be glad in it.
